Paper Snowflakes

We've had a pretty mild winter so far this year.  When we do get a little snow it never seems to stick around for more than a day  You'll never find me complaining about that.  The kids are a little disappointed that there is no snow to go sledding in and to build snowmen but I figure we still have at least four more months for that.  Me?  I'll take all the snow-less days I can get.

So while we're waiting for the snow to come I found this great little tutorial for how to make paper snowflakes at Bon Temps Beignet.

I've never been good at cutting snowflakes out and they never look too good but Liz's simple tutorial makes cutting out snowflakes fun and fancy.  My five year old and I have had so much fun seeing what we can come up with.  And I won't even tell you the crazy amount of paper we've wasted doing it . . .
Check it out and give it a try.  You'll have fun!

  1. Amy,
These are so cute. Please save some of these for me. We need snowflakes for the Winter Formal dance in February.

  2. We attached ours to long white ribbons (3-4 per ribbon at different heights) and hung them in the kitchen window. They look so cute. Even better than real snow!
