The other day I was busy making some barn yard finger puppets, but with Halloween on my mind I realized my kids might think a little ghost puppet was more fun (and so much more simple to make too).
My daughter wanted to decorate her own--and one for her brother too.
She went with the super scary three-eyed monster-ghost look.
And they were so simple that I decided that I'd make one for all the kids in our little preschool group. We used them to sing this song:
Boo! Boo! Boo! Boo!
I'm a ghost to scare you.
From Halloween town I've come this night,
All dressed from tip to toe in white.
BOOoooo! BOOoooo! BOO!
The preschool kids all loved their little ghosts and were so excited that they got to bring them home to keep.
Happy Halloween!
My boys LOVE that song... it's definitely a favorite around here. They'd love some ghosts to fly around while they sang it!
ReplyDeleteThese are absolutely darling! I remember singing that song as a kid, too. Love it!
ReplyDeleteMy dad had at least 3 verses to this song. Do you know the others?

Yes, I do know of one more verse.

and have a tall hat,
A flying broom and a
big black cat.
