This is one of our favorite winter time activities. It was a huge life savor last winter and my daughter still loves it a year later. She never gets tired of playing with these beans.
I bought Lima beans because they are the biggest and they stand out the most on my carpet. She loves to mix and stir and pour her beans. She'll do it for hours. Because I'm selfish and don't like to share my cooking utensils I bought my daughter her own pair of measuring cups and mixing spoons at Wal-mart for $1 each. We do have some rules though. I don't want to find beans all over the house so we lay out a blanket and the beans have to stay on the blanket. In case any of them do escape though they're easy to spot because they're white.

William would think that's fun! James would like it too... expect he'd probably try to eat them.
ReplyDeleteLove the lima beans! My daughter would love this too. Do you come up with all your ideas on your own? So cute.
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't mind that I mentioned your blog on my blog. I just know my friends with kids will love your ideas too.

Wow! Genius!
ReplyDeleteI love the rule about keeping them on the blanket. Isn't funny how such simple things are so entertaining.
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy,
ReplyDeleteWe played with beans the other day it was great fun. We used the blanket rule too. Worked like a charm.
That's so sweet!
